Breakfast at Our Leavenworth Area Inn

If you have chosen our breakfast option, we serve a full plated hot breakfast cooked from scratch (not overcooked food on buffet counters) every morning in the common area in the main house hand-delivered to your private bistro table for two or on our patios with gorgeous mountain views in the warmer months! The Guest Haus will have room service breakfasts in their own dining area.  Our breakfasts are all home-cooked, unique dishes. Our breakfasts are served at between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. as not to disturb guests wanting to sleep in, however we are able to accomodate an 8:00 a.m. breakfast if  you need. We do cook with onions, etc., so please limit your breakfast requests to allergy and dietary needs due to limited space in our kitchen as we are not a full service restaurant. We do not want to compromise flavor for other guests.  Some of Rochelle’s offerings include Quiches with a delicious hash brown potato crust, Smokey Pulled Pork Quesadillas, Baked Blintzes topped with a Berry Compote, Apple Pie Croissant French Toast stuffed with home made apple pie filling, Banana Oatmeal Pancakes from scratch and thick sliced smoked bacon. Kielbasa sausage with creamy scrambled eggs and freshly cut home-fried potatoes. Orange juice is always fresh, and instant hot water is available for regular and herbal teas, spiced cider or hot chocolate. We cater to many dietary needs.

AREA DINING
For a small town nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and hours from any major city, there is an amazing variety of very good restaurants to choose from here in Leavenworth, WA. Since the town is modeled after a Bavarian German village, you naturally have a lot of choices to find bratwurst, schnitzel and sauerkraut, but there are other wonderful dining choices that include Italian, Swiss, Mexican, South American, Pacific Northwest and Classic American cuisine. Choose from formal dining to pubs to outdoor beer gardens, coffee shops, ice cream shops, diners and bakeries. Here are some of our favorite places to explore and enjoy in downtown Leavenworth:

Visconti’s Italian Restaurant:
This place is a perennial favorite, with excellent Italian food, plus steak and seafood, an award-winning wine list, excellent service and lots of tables with views of downtown, all at a reasonable price.   We have been sending guests here for years, and we have never heard of anyone having a bad experience, so it always receives our highest recommendations.

Yodelin Broth Company

Fantastic broth and rice bowls along with many other options set alongside the river with mountain views.

Mozarts:
This is another long-time favorite, with a solid German theme that includes German-speaking staff. They recently remodeled the place and upgraded the menus, and it is better than ever. If you want good German food, this is always our first recommendation.

South:
When you want to move away from German cuisine, this is always a great choice. We know the owners, and they do a lot of research in Central and South America for recipes and use fresh ingredients. The dishes and drinks from Latin and South America are delicious and adventurous, and a lot of fun to try.

Andreas Keller Restaurant:
Less formal than Mozarts but owned by the same family, this is a great pub-style place that has excellent food and great beers on tap. You must sit in the booths, which resemble huge beer barrels and are cozy and fun. The Jagerschnitzel here is the best!

Watershed Café:
One of the newest in town, we’ve tried it a few times and have been impressed. Pacific Northwest cuisine, focusing on farm-to-table meat and produce that provides fresh and delicious choices.

Sulla Vita:
A unique European-themed place that is similar to a tapas restaurant where you can choose several dishes to share with each other and explore new tastes.   Interesting menu, and fun to try. The mushroom pizza is great.

Munchen Haus:
A classic outdoor beer garden. Do not eat a bratwurst anywhere else but here! They are legendary, award-winning and downright awesome.   Order the Big Bob, add a locally brewed beer (the owner here also owns Icicle Brewery in town) and you are in heaven!!!
